Table Bases

Made-To-Order Forged Iron

Siskin Valls specializes in creating unique, handcrafted iron table bases that blend vintage and contemporary styles. Each piece is made to order, ensuring your specific needs and preferences are met. These table bases are functional and serve as statement pieces that add character and style to any space.

One of the key features of Siskin Valls’ forged iron table bases is their vintage contemporary look. We use traditional forging techniques to create a distressed, aged finish that gives the bases an authentic, vintage feel. As a result, each table base is a unique, one-of-a-kind appearance that mass-produced products cannot replicate.

Despite their antique look, Siskin Valls’ iron table bases are also contemporary. Our skilled artisans use modern techniques and tools to create sleek, minimalist designs that complement a range of interior styles. In addition, these table bases can be customized to fit any size of a tabletop, making them versatile and adaptable to any space.

Siskin Valls’ iron table bases are also durable and built to last. Each piece is made with high-quality materials and undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure strength and durability. As a result, these table bases can support even the heaviest of tabletops, making them ideal for commercial and residential settings.

Dining table with 4 iron legs

Dining & Center Tables

The very sculptural base is used for both the dining and center tables.  Of course, custom heights are available but I use the same for both.  What distinguishes the two is the size of the top.  If needed for dining, the top must overlap the base, allowing room for the dining chair as well as leg room for the diner.  When the top is the same diameter as the base, the piece exhibits a more sculptural quality, a more dramatic entry to your home or apartment.  When holding a vase of flowers, Can also serve to define an entry area.

Coffee Table

The table in the collection that is most flexible in size would be the coffee table.  Depending on the size needed and the top material is chosen, it usually doesn’t require center support.  In my experience as an interior designer, this item is usually the hardest to find for clients.  The reason for this is the coffee or cocktail table is a 20th-century phenomenon.  Generally if searching for an old one, it is a dining table with the legs cut down –  somehow the proportions never look quite right.  The wrought iron base helps this contemporary table to achieve its “non-contemporary look” and looks great in loft spaces to formal sitting rooms.

Console Tables

Console tables are commonly used in entryways or foyers, where they serve as a functional surface for keys, mail, and other small items. They can also be used in living rooms as a surface for decorative items or to display family photos or artwork. In addition, console tables can be placed behind a sofa to create a visual break in a large room or used in a dining room as a buffet or serving table.

Side table with white marble top and iron legs

SIDE TABLES

The modern, sleek look of this side table is attributed to the single stem it sits on.  However the single stem also limits the size, the length and width of the top.  With the limited space afforded by this table, it serves better aside a chair or sofa.  A floor lamp or wall sconce nearby frees up the table surface.  Since most beds have swing arm lamps the single stem table is often suitable for the bedside.  Another use would be as a pedestal to hold and display a piece of sculpture.
